I'm looking for an affordable way to convert the HackRF into a headless device or offload the user's GPP (if one is used) like what might be accomplished using the bladeRF. There are FPGA experimenter kits but they don't seem really suited. Ideally, the dongle would contain a reasonably fast GPP (like the bladeRF) and sufficient resources to manage a mid- to large FPGA. It might also contain an Ethernet interface so the headless device could be remotely powered (e.g., PoE) and placed close to the antenna.
Any ideas? Might this be a good Kickstarter addition?
