[Hackrf-dev] known good laptop running Pentoo.

Pete,
I've installed Pentoo on a few laptops. The best results were from following the installation instructions on the Pentoo wiki http://code.google.com/p/pentoo/wiki/GettingStarted?tm=6#Installation
