It would be handy to have the option in SDRConsole or SDR# for testing purposes. IQ recording a chunk then the ability to grab the file and transmit it back out would be amazing.

Steve,
I've used this with gnuradio and no external amplifier to make low power ham transmissions with SSB and NBFM (for testsing purposes.)
SSB was relatively easy to get a satisfactory project. I dont remember if I've tried vanilla AM.

Has anyone yet tried to use this for SSB, FM, or AM voice communications on Amateur Radio Bands?? If so, what software did you use? I understand that Power SDR is supposed to work, but I also read that it doesn't support the hackrf unit - and HDSDR is supposed to have transmit capabilities but haven't seen anyone that has actually used it with the hackrf.
Any ideas??
