[Hackrf-dev] Sensitivity

Hi Rich,
Only issue I have with your test method is that the gain settings should
have been adjusted for max SNR, I notice you have the gain settings set the
same for both devices in your test.
For example using a similar flow graph for the RTL dongle with the default
settings of rf=10,if=20,bb=20 I get a signal of -50db with noise -75db, if I
increase the rf from 10 the point before it overloads which for me at that
particular frequency is rf=35 then the signal is at -25db noise at -65db,
that's a 25db increase in signal and 10db increase in noise.

I did this comparison a bit ago using GNURadio because I could make all the
settings identical without having to worry about how SDR# was programmed.
Typically, you would not want to run the HackRF at 2 MSPS, but to keep the
comparison accurate, I did.

Sorry to re hash and old topic but can I ask if any member can do a
screenshot like the one I have linked in below comparing an RTL dongle and
the HackRF using SDR#, I'm about -10db worse on the HackRF without using the
amp. Just want to make sure this is normal behaviour or a fault.
Thanks
