Just caught that my emails w/Silverfox went off-list. Here is a summary (still broken):
If I plug in w/o DFU, no dmesg. If I plug in w/DFU:New high-speed USB device number 10 using ehci-pciNew USB device found, idVendor-1fc9, idProduct=000cNew USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3Product: LPCManufacturer: NXPSerialNumber: ABCD
Slight change I either had not noticed or something changed.
dmesg immediately after dfu update is now:
New high-speed USB device number 20 using ehci-pciNew USB device found, idVendor=1d50, idProduct=6089New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=5Product: HackRF OneManufacturer: Great Scot GadgetsSerialNumber: (long string of digits)
But, at that point hackrf_info still gives the same error as does spiflash.Ubuntu 14.04 and I've tried everything on the FAQ page.
If I unplug/replug or reset, USB is again not recognized.
I'm going to burn a gnuradio thumb drive just to see if it has any better luck.
Otherwise, how does one go about contacting for warranty?
