FYI -

The December 2008 American Psychologist article titled "Reporting 
Standards for Research in Psychology" mentions missing cases that are 
MAR or MCAR (i.e., "missing at random" or "missing completely at 
random").  (MCAR is a special case of MAR.)

These websites have some explanations of MAR and MCAR:

It seems these concepts date back to the 1970's and have been gaining
