Jay -

There was an article published in Public Personnel Management circa 2000 that examined a variety of predictors for police performance (it may have been police academy performance) including education and military experience. I'm sure I have copy buried in a box in my basement. Hopefully this will ring a bell with someone else on the list serve who still keeps journals on their shelf. If not, let me know and I'll go box hunting.

Subject: [IPAC-List] Military experience as predictive of police performance

Is there any research out there that discusses military experience as predictive of police performance?

Thank you for your feedback!
