Palm Beach County, FL, Board of County Commissioners Human Resources is happily promoting one of our top internal Testing & Assessment Specialists to be our Manager, Compensation & Records.  That brings us a terrific opportunity to recruit soon for a savvy, test-wise professional in the T&A unit.  We are drafting a job posting, but we expect the following:

Job Title:  HR Specialist III.  Examples of job duties:  Responsible for PBC Fire-Rescue promotional processes design/development/implementation/evaluation; Observes work, gathers data by interviewing or surveying incumbents, conducts focus groups/SME meetings, to extract job analysis information; Conducts TAQ's;  Interprets job analysis data to make recommendations for selection methods; Designs examinations/uses various administration media; Administers and scores examinations under standard conditions as demanded by federal and state laws and the County Merit Rules and Regulations; Interprets test results in light of standard norms and limitations of tests in terms of validity and reliability; Researches materials for use in the development of selection methods and tools; i.e., pre-employment job knowledge tests, physical ability tests, assessment centers, interviews and rating scales; Explains selection procedures to County employees and the public; Schedules examinations; Reviews/revises/approves all interview questions used for every panel interview in 25+ BCC departments; Organizes training programs (e.g., Rater/assessor training, new supervisors orientation, behavioral interviewing); Represents the County at job fairs, special events.  Salary Range $46,700 - $73,000 and an Outstanding employee benefits package!  Consider this a head's up that we will be soliciting applicants soon.
