Dear IPAC Members & Friends,

Subject:  Conference Update – *HRCI and APA* certification

               Annual Conference, July 22-25, Harrah’s Las Vegas



For years, one of our Board members has been submitting our conference for
HRCI credit on his own. We realized we could better serve our members and
the HR community if we sought HRCI precertification . . . so, we did. We
have submitted most of the conference for precertification and are waiting
to hear back. So far, we've received approval on our earliest submissions,
three of our pre-conference workshops:

·         Developing, Implementing and Scoring Valid Job Simulations, 3.5
hours

·         Getting the Right People in the Right Seats on the Bus:
Recruitment, Selection and Promotion, 8 hours

·         Best Practices in Assessment Questionnaire Development, 8 hours

*In addition to HRCI Precertification, those workshops are already approved
for APA Continuing Education Credits through an arrangement between IPAC
and APR Testing Services.*



We expect to hear more from HRCI this week, but wanted to get the word out
as soon as possible since the room block is only held until June 20, and
that’s also when the discounted early registration ends.
