I have been working with folks in the area of public-safety dispatching (9-1-1) for the past 10 years and recently there have been some discussions about the relationship between advances in technology and turnover. For example, anecdotal data suggests that a relatively large proportion of older employees are retiring early rather than learning to adopt to ever-changing technology. I am attempting to find any literature related to this subject, but am having little success.

Any suggestions on articles or book chapters regarding the relationship between technology and turnover? I appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thanks
Jim
