[IPAC-List] Testing Accommodations - Time Limits

If the test is a "power" test, the goal is to have test-takers answer
every question and then see how they do. Time limits on power tests are
usually set generously, so that most people finish within a reasonable
amount of time. If a test-taker requests extra time under ADA, give the
test-taker as much time as needed to finish the test, to the extent
practicable. The test score and the time needed to complete the test
will help the employer to decide if the test-taker can perform the job
with similar accommodations.

If the test is a "speed" test, the question of accommodation is more
complex. If "speed" is an essential job function, little or no
accommodation may be required, but the employer will need to support
this decision with appropriate documentation.
