SENATOR GRAY EVANS TO TEACH AT THE
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LOUISIANA

WHO: State Senator Cheryl Gray Evans and the International School of 
Louisiana’s Eighth Grade Class

WHAT: As part of the National Conference of State Legislators’ (NCSL) 
“America’s Legislators Back to School Program,” Sen. Cheryl Gray Evans 
will teach the 8th grade class at the International School of Louisiana 
a lesson on politics, civics and government.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 7, 12:55 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

WHERE: The International School of Louisiana, 1400 Camp St

WHY:  The NCSL's “America’s Legislators Back to School Program is 
currently in its tenth year. The program is designed to get legislators 
into classrooms to initiate dialogue with American youth to let them 
know their ideas count, while imparting the importance of compromise in 
legislation and life.
