Click here to see an article in today's Morning Advocate that summarizes the upcoming fight. We cannot let oil and gas win this argument. Get ready to call your legislators and ask them to stand up for landowners and the citizens of Louisiana. We don't deserve a legacy of pollution.


However, if you think oil and gas won't play dirty to get their way, think again. When business was closed for the Easter holiday, they started stacking their bills up, trying to slip one through, SB 443, in Senate Jud A. The bill shouldn't be even in this committee (should be in Natural Resources with other "legacy lawsuit" legisation). The bill is authored by New Orleans legislator JP Morrell. Very dirty to introduce it at 4:45 pm on the night before Easter holiday. Let's hope this gets deferred so all sides can weigh in on a very important issue.
