COURT OF APPEAL (Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines)Judge Karen Herman #45There are many great men and women serving on this Court from Orleans, but very few with the background in criminal law that Judge Karen Herman will bring to this very important "review" board for cases on appeal. Click her name to visit her webpage and find out more about this great candidate who also served as Chief Judge of Criminal Court and is the only Judge in this race where she faces two opponents.
MUNICIPAL AND TRAFFIC COURT, DIVISION DJudge Mark Shea #60I grew up with the Sheas. They lived out in New Orleans East and were often at the Lake Forest Mall, where I worked in high school. Some of their cousins were in my high school classes at JFK. The late Judge John Shea, Mark's father, was an incredible public servant, father and excellent politician. Mark's brother Scott served on the school board and shared my passion for public school improvement way before Katrina. Mark Shea is much like his dad...dedicated, committed to his court, always there, always available to serve. He's been a leader in modernizing and diversifying the staff of his court. He also is the only Judge in this race where he faces one opponent.
