If you go to Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General Preferences --> Address Book, do you have "Automatically match message categories to senders' categories" enabled? If so, you can disable it, however, this will stop Entourage from assigning categories to all your incoming messages, not just your own. Both of these could cause that behavior. Are you rebuilding your database often? Entourage and the Apple Address Book sync to a database called the truth. If the truth gets messed up, it will just sync back the same bad data to your applications. You might want to turn off Sync Services and have clean up that application as your primary source. Mail, ical and Address Book applications are still able to connect and synchronize but Entourage stays as 'not connected'. I removed the configuration (restarted) and re-configured it. When I verify the settings, I receive the below error message: " Verifying Exchange account "xxx at xxx.com" on "https://mail.xxx.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx": Verification Failed: "HTTP error. The server cannot fulfill the request." (-18500 ) Some of your account settings are incorrect. Click the left arrow and verify the items highlighted in red. To complete setup without verifying your account settings, click the right arrow. " Same settings are used in Mail application and it is working. Any idea what might be wrong? If you reset the SyncServices with iSnyc, you may have unexpected results. Sometimes that will screw up all three address books (Entourage, Address Book.app and iPhone). I would urge you to make a clone of your drive BEFORE you reset SyncServices. Also make a backup of Address Book.app so that you can restore if you get screwed. In the worst case, you could restore from the clone. Is there anything I can do to > diagnose the problem? Definitely, although you'll have to wade through a lot of text. In Entourage 13.0.0, go to Entourage menu --> Preferences... --> General Preferences --> General and enable "Enable logging (troubleshooting". This is a new feature only in the EWS version of Entourage. Quit Entourage and launch it again. On your Desktop you'll find a file called "Microsoft Entourage_Troubleshooting_0.log" that quickly fills with lots of information. If you're lucky, Entourage will hit your problem early and you won't have to wade through too much information. Double-click the file to open it in Console.app, which is just a fancy text viewing application. If you find the amount of information too much then quit Entourage and then click the "Clear Display" icon in the Console. Now, move the Console window to the side so that you can watch it while Entourage launches again. When prompted whether or not you want to disable logging, click No for now. You DO want to keep logging on. You'll see data spew into the Console. As soon as you see an error message in Entourage then click the "Insert Marker" icon in Console. This simply adds a time/date stamp into the Console. If you're lucky you'll see an understandable error message somewhere before/after the marker. Make liberal use of the Filter field in the upper right corner of the window to search for keywords like "error", "fail" and "autodiscover". If too much information is still displayed then use Edit --> Find to highlight exacts words in the text. Feel free to Clear Display and Insert Marker to your heart's content. If you want to start over, just quit Entourage and trash the file. Entourage will create a new one the next time you launch it. You might try deleting your Exchange account on your iPhone and then setting it up again. Since this is an Exchange account, all of your messages, contacts and events should come back from the server. This might be the equivalent of clearing the cache on you phone. You can copy over your Rules file to preserve them. It is found in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main Identity where " ~ " is your home folder. Your "Main Identity" folder may be named differently. As for accounts, you're probably going to have to take screenshots of your settings and replicate them in the new identity. To create a new identity go to Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... and click the New button there. I've not heard of the error message you reported and this leads me to believe it may be coming from your service provider and not Entourage itself. Usually, when an account works one day but doesn't work another then Entourage is not to blame since nothing has changed with it. Test your account settings in a new identity (Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... --> New) and see if the problem continues. Test in Apple's Mail application. If the problem persists then you'll need to contact your service provider for assistance with your account on the server.
