Is Hacking DECT Illegal?
A long long time ago the courts held anyone using the airwaves
to talk to someone else had- "NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY".
We have so many lawyers nowadays anything an intelligent
person wants to do is a crime. While rapists and murderers
are required by the courts to attend sensitivity training.

Some scenarios where receiving & analysing DECT transmissions would be
useful, & most likely legal:
1. receiving your own DECT transmissions;
2. debugging a DECT product that you are developing;
3. auditing a corporate DECT installation you are responsible for, say
to confirm that encryption is in use.
As for anything else, consult a local lawyer for advice.
Regards,
Tony
