Mike,
Thanks for all the work so far and I really appreciate all the videos that
you have been making. I feel I have learnt more in just 3 videos that you
have released as opposed to the hours of other tutorials I watched online
before it. It's not got to do with the knowledge of the people making
videos I think it's got to do with the teaching style.
I am one of the few lucky folks who should be receiving the HackRF
pre-order anytime over the next day or two. As the firmware has to be
flashed to get up to the latest version I was wondering if you would
consider making a video about the same. Now I know some on this list will
will say there is an excellent guide to follow the steps which I agree, but
however because the video series is called 'SDR with HackRF' and you have
mentioned some capabilities of the HackRF during the first class (like the
gain setting that turns on the preamp on the hackrf) I think it would be
advantageous to have a video on all kinds of firmware updates validation
different modes etc directly from Mike. This is save a lot of us the
headache and tension of having to go though the process from a wiki. In the
process we will all learn something more from Mike as he does go behind why
something was designed a certain way which will make understanding the
whole point much better then having to blindly follow some directions. All
the little tit-bits of info that Mike would provide would make this video
very valuable as that info would or-else be scattered all over.
I am sure there will be a lot more firmware updates etc. in the future and
every HackRF user will have to update their firmware at some point in the
future so a video on firmware flashing and different modes on the HackRF
directly from Mike will definitely help the community at large.
Thank you for your time.
