Alternately, in theory it's possible to add something like a USB-CDC
serial port emulation to the hackrf firmware, and provide a
communication channel that way.
In general, though, the usefulness would be very limited - I don't
think you could stream a block of serial data as quickly as you need
to, compared to doing a bulk write or read... which is why the hackrf
firmware is designed how it is in the first place.
