dmesg will show the device as a Great Scott Gadgets HackRF One because
it reads the descriptions from the device:

[24981.046424] usb 3-1: new high-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
[24981.175180] usb 3-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1d50, idProduct=6089
[24981.175191] usb 3-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
[24981.175196] usb 3-1: Product: HackRF One
[24981.175202] usb 3-1: Manufacturer: Great Scott Gadgets

When using lsusb HackRF shows up as an OpenMoko device because they
gave us the vendor and product ID and lsusb uses a database of IDs.
e.g.:

Bus 003 Device 003: ID 1d50:6089 OpenMoko, Inc.

Is it possible that you've overlooked it in the lsusb output because
it's listed as another manufacturer's device?
