[IPAC-List] Alternative approach to college admission

The 10 year Texas experiment involving an alternative selection system 
for entrance to colleges was in the NY Times on Sunday.  (It seems the 
program is being scaled back.)  Under that program, the top 10% in any 
high school's graduating class got automatic admission to any state college.

Does anyone know how the students who were admitted under that program 
did in college?
