[IPAC-List] Getting people into jobs they're gonna love

Wasn't there a case about a decade back, or so, where a municipal police
department somewhere in the New Jersey or Connecticut area implemented
TWO cut scores on a cognitive ability test: one where you had to score
*higher* than, and another that you had to score *lower* than? The
notion was that if the candidate was "too smart" they wouldn't like the
job or stay in it?

Does any of that sound vaguely familiar? If so, that is most
definitely NOT an example of what I meant in raising this topic!
