[IPAC-List] Engineer Selection

It is not my area, so I don't have a lot of detail, but New York State and local governmental agencies use written m/c tests that are a mix of technical and general KSAs for a number of engineering exams.

Our agency employs @300 engineers (civil, electrical, mechanical and structural). Historically, we have used written and/or structured oral tests (or a combination thereof) to assess candidates. We're interested in any information you can share about your selection process for engineers - entry-level through senior (licensed) professional engineers.
