A book that provides a nice foundation and covers many aspects of assessment and types of tests is "Assessment in Health Professions Education." Since the intended audiences are not assessment specialists it covers a great deal of ground. It is detailed and well-researched. After the general information about assessment one can pick and choose the relevant chapters the cover various assessment methods. It covers most assessment methodologies, however, you won't find anything on SJTs, personality tests, etc.

Subject: [IPAC-List] Very basic book on testing ?

Might you have suggestions for one or more basic books or pamphlets (of current vintage) on employee selection testing, for use with an intelligent client with little sophistication concerning testing.

Thanks.

Joel
