[IPAC-List] Test of learning ability

Reading the (republished) interview with Frank Schmidt in the April TIP and seeing his response about intelligence as the ability to learn (p.22) got me thinking: has anybody used a test of learning ability?  What was your experience?  Can you recommend one?
